A Little About Me

Kate Bullard

For as long as I can remember, I have felt deeply connected to the unseen—to intuition, spirit, and the spaces that exist beyond what we can easily explain. I have always found myself drawn to helping others find guidance, comfort, and a different perspective when they need it most. As I grew on my spiritual journey and deepened my own understanding, I began to realize that this was more than simply a part of who I am. It was a calling.

My Journey

My journey into death care began with my education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where I earned my B.M.S. degree in 2021. I went into mortuary science wanting to understand death, but what I discovered was that learning about the physical body was only the beginning. The more I learned, the more curious I became about everything surrounding death—the spirit, the emotions, the rituals, the grief, the meaning, and the sacredness of transition.

That curiosity eventually led me to become a certified end-of-life doula through INELDA in 2023. That same year, I was initiated as a Natural Medicine Woman by Andean Shaman and Medicine Man Puma Fredy Quispe Singona. In 2024, I became a Reiki Master, and I continue to study thanatology as I deepen my understanding of death, dying, grief, spirituality, and the human experience.

Alongside these studies and certifications, I have continued to follow the intuitive path that has been with me throughout my life. My work as a Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Master, celebrant, Natural Medicine Woman, and end-of-life doula allows me to bring together many different pieces of my journey—but at the heart of it all is something very simple:

I believe people deserve to feel held.

Held in their joy. Held in their grief. Held in their uncertainty. Held through endings, beginnings, and all of the tender spaces in between.

Death has taught me that life is incredibly precious. It has taught me to slow down, to listen more deeply, and to honor the individuality of every person's journey.

It is from this place of love, reverence, and deep respect that I offer my work.

It is a privilege to walk beside people during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
